The Sky Lantern (天燈) also known as Kongming lantern is used in many of the chinese festivities. As mid-autumn festival approaches this year, many chinese people believe that if you write down your wishes on the sky lantern and let it float towards the sky, your wishes will come true. A lot of couples wish for a healthy and long-lasting relationship, families would wish for prosperity and health within the household, friends would wish for good future paths for themselves. Whatever it is, sending a sky lantern out into the skies will definitely be seen by the gods and blessings will flow upon the people.

As I took this photo, I wish the wellness for my friends as we let the sky lantern into our destinies.

Mid-Autumn festival is also a time where we have the chinese delicacy, mooncake (月餅). This festival is for lunar appreciation and moon-watching.

This photo which I took accompanied with the wishes from the chinese people, and moonshine of hope.
