Now I'll be with you for a week. I have found something helpful, funny, and exciting, I have met honest lyrics and stories but above all some nice people here on Steemit.
During the time of browsing and testing, I often wondered how a new member can make a meaningful contribution to Steemit?
Last Friday I introduced myself together with my friend and roommate @montiamore. If you like you can watch it on my blog. My namesake, the little Bert, wants to keep the blog going. The following days were very varied, with little sleep and lots of hanging around here on Steemit with lots of fun for me. Many thanks for the warm welcome especially to @yahara and thanks also to @denniskoray for his daily news summary from the cryptographic area (which first drew my attention to Steemit through Youtube).

Why Fotokids?

I regularly work with children and adolescents in photo courses at schools. This is part of my independent work, as a service (more on this later if you like).

Since my registration here on the platform, I now have the feeling on Steemit are mostly active people from 20 years upwards.

I have to admit that last week the children of my current photography course (due to illness there weren't many of them) i told about Steemit.
They didn't know anything about it yet, were sceptical at first and i don't want to tell them stories from their lives as children and pupils here ore want to influence them negativ, even if see nothin bad right now on steemit for kids.
Interest in the platform was however quite present. Above all as a photo-course here together to Release our work and to be able to be rewarded for it maybe a bit. Of course they was interested also - this raised questions we had to discuss.

My Start

I had used my start on Steemit last Friday with the little Bert (@erniegreenhill/hello-to-the-people) to put some small photo stories into my work and I will continue to do so. That's how the connection came into being and I inevitably came across Steemit with the kids.

Aims

The aim of @erniegreenhill will therefore be to report on the experiences of the students and their photos from the different photo courses with photo stories, reports and texts.

Other interests of my own, for example the topic of pinhole camera photography, which I have already introduced, I will briefly present to you in my introduction to an introduceYourself contribution. Drawing with Light

The word photography comes from the Greek language and means: drawing with light. Here we have put this into practice in the form of an experiment and as a step into action:

We need some space, a long exposure time and of course different light sources such as a lighter, a torch, a laser pointer and candles. No ND-Filter.

Question: Which school do the kids go to?

Certainly the pictures are not yet masterpieces maybe, it is mainly about discovering the basic principles of photography for the students.

Die Steemit-Fotokids sind da

Liebe Steemit- Freunde,

Nun bin ich eine Woche bei euch. Ich habe Hilfreiches, Witziges, und Spannendes gefunden, bin auf ehrliche Texte und Geschichten, aber vor allem schon einige nette Menschen hier auf Steemit getroffen.

In der Zeit des Stöbern und Ausprobieren habe ich mich oft gefragt, wie man als neues Mitglied überhaupt sinnvoll zu Steemit beitragen kann?

Letzten Freitag habe ich mich zusammen mit meinem Freund und Mitbewohner @montiamore ja noch etwas schüchtern mit meinem Introduceyourself-Beitrag vorgestellt. Mein Namensvetter, der kleine Bert will den Blog auch weiterhin voran bringen. Die Tage danach waren sehr abwechslungsreich, mit wenig Schlaf und viel Steemit.
Vielen lieben Dank für die herzliche Begrüßung vor allem an @yahara und Danke auch an @denniskoray für seine tägliche Newszusammenfassung aus dem Cryptobereich (die mich überhaupt erst durch Youtube auf Steemit aufmerksam gemacht haben).

Warum Fotokids?

Ich arbeite regelmäßig mit Kindern und Jugendlichen innerhalb Fotokursen an Schulen. Das ist Teil meiner Selbstständigkeit, sozusagen als Serviceleistung (mehr dazu gern später).

Jeder auf Steemit über 20

Seit meiner Anmeldung hier auf der Plattform, habe ich nun das Gefühl auf Steemit sind überwiegend nur Menschen ab 20 Jahren aufwärts vertreten.

Ich muss zugeben ,dass ich letzte Woche die Kinder meines aktuellen Fotokurses (durch Krankheit waren es zwar nicht viele) direkt mit dem Thema Steemit „vollgetextet“ habe.
Sie wussten leider noch nichts darüber, waren erst skeptisch und werden nicht gleich Geschichten aus ihrem Leben als Kinder und Schüler hier einstellen… Und das war auch nicht mein Ziel.
Interesse an der Plattform war aber durchaus vorhanden. Vor allem als Foto-Kurs hier gemeinsam unsere Arbeiten auszustellen und dafür dafür vl. sogar belohnt werden zu können, hat sie interessiert, auch wenn das auch Fragen aufgeworfen hat die wir klären mussten.

Mein Start

Meinen Start auf Steemit letzten Freitag mit dem kleinen Bert ( steemit.com/introduceyourself/@erniegreenhill/hello-to-the-people) hatte ich genutzt ein paar kleine Foto-Storys in meine Arbeit einzubauen und werde das fortsetzen. So ist die Verbindung zum Kurs überhaupt erst entstanden und ich kam auch zwangsläufig auf Steemit zu sprechen.

Das Ziel von @erniegreenhill wird es also unter anderem sein aus den verschiedenen Foto-Kursen mit Photostorys, Berichten und Texten über die Erfahrungen der Schüler und ihre Fotos zu berichten.

Andere, eigene Interessen, zum Beispiel das bereits von mir vorgestellte Thema Lochkamerafotografie, fasse ich euch noch noch kurz in meiner bald wiederholten Vorstellung eines IntroduceYourself-Beitrags vor. Und...

Weitere Themen sind, neben Fotografie im Allgemeinen auch Familie, Natur und Berichte aus meiner schönen Heimatstadt.

Da ich euch Aufnahmen der Schüler oder Gruppenfotos des aktuellen Kurses hier nicht zeige, präsentieren wir euch zu Beginn einen Einblick in eines der ersten kleinen Experimente. Fotos, die unsere Kurs macht, seht ihr also schon in diesem Beitrag. Wir wollen demnächst ins eigene Ausstellung vorbereiten, besuchen das deutsche Fotomuseum und entwickeln unsere Schwarz-Weiß-Fotos in der Dunkelkammer. Und los:

Zeichnen mit Licht

Das Wort Fotografie kommt inhaltlich und sprachlich aus dem Griechischen und bedeutet: Zeichnen mit Licht. Hier haben wir das in Form eines Experiments und als Einstieg in die Tat umgesetzt:

Wir brauchen etwas Platz, lange Belichtungszeit und natürlich verschiedene Lichtquellen, wie zum Beispiel ein Feuerzeug, eine Taschenlampe, ein Laserpointer und Kerzen. Andere Hilfsmittel wie ND-Filter haben wir erst mal noch nicht benutzt.

Quizfrage: Wie heisst die Schule des aktuellen Kurses?

Sicher sind die Bilder vl. noch keine Meisterwerke, es geht hier vor Allem um das Entdecken der Grundprinzipien der Fotografie für die Schüler.
