This is one of the most recognizable carnivorous plant known as the pitcher plant/ Nepenthes. That deep bowl is actually a plant structure derived from leaves, and contains a sac of digestive fluids (full of digestive enzymes). The insects/ small animals captured helps the plants to gain extra nutrients.
