Desperation: 'Pocalypse Poetry Challenge Day 2 Round 2

A moment of indecision is to avoid the cars and the open lots might only have weeds.
The store might have some undiscovered food.
The lesson of this tale is to avoid the store since all the loot is gone.
Among the wreckage spoiled food and liquids.
The only thing available is empty soap boxes and plastic fruit.
The moment to grab these items ended when people appeared to loot the store.
Escaping was possible by throwing the plastic fruit in the air and exiting from the door.
A person from afar that appears to moving towards your direction.
Either it is opportunity or a new danger.
They appeared too quickly to hide and the only way forward is now to confront this stranger.
