Standing Above an Oven - An original poem written while preparing dinner

God, good gracious...
I wish I were in-
God's good graces.
I should never have run away from my-!
Pain, it races....
I wish I had found-
Pain escapism.

But, all of this time,
I was not fine,
And each little line,
Lead back to a lie,
Written in hope and big yellow letters.

But, I think I'll be fine,
I think I'll just hide,
Burying failure inside,
So nobody can find,
These big yellow lies,
Written in apathy and thoughts of suicide.

Note: I am do have thoughts of suicide, but I am no longer suicidal. I am in therapy and doing my best to retrieve my mind from these dark mountains. Thank you for stopping by and reading.
