Kinship

Full moon keeps me up at night

When honesty begins to sing

And thoughts are followed to their end

And thought becomes my only friend

Full moon sings a lullaby

Where time slows to a snail's pace

And practice leads to mastery

And practice helps the world be free

Be free from what?

Who holds the chain

Imprisoning

The next refrain?

The words of love

Remain unsaid

Though certainly

Not left for dead

Full moon sweeps the sky of stars

When gazers come to bathe in shine

And truth may wash you to your core

And truth chimes in with something more

Full moon leaves a cosmic tale

Where summer's fun comes to an end

And autumn howls a tempest wind

And autumn leaves reveal our sins

Our sins says who?

What choice is thereĀ

If talking heads

Confuse your care?

The gift of love

Still burns within

And begs to join

The sky as kin
