Original Poetry (Untitled)

The mind is willing
But the will won’t, will it?
The flesh breaks the pact
Says it won’t
Says you’ll kill it
But it’s just a few steps
A few breaths
A few moments
The right choices
Adding up to make a life
Or the wrong ones
Tearing away
Taking away
Breaking one down
Each step
Selects the path
The next one easier
Than the last
