The In-Laws – An Original Poem

In the land of religious cures
and diet cokes,
racial slurs
and okie dokes,
my blood boils over.

Mocking tragedies
the Christian way.
Sweet vulgarities
are what they say,
but my words spoil dinner.

In the land of Walmart ham
and personal attacks,
tryptophan
and maniacs,
their tongues toil, bitterly.
