On My Mind (Original)

Coat me in a diamond-fine
layer of your best smile,
you are on my mind.

Lead me to the soothsayers
prophet, iniquity,
who plays on my mind.

Lay the book down on its side
positioned like the truth,
one facet of mind.

Take my hand, like children led
to a brand new world,
one world in one mind.

The sleepy solipsist wakes
to an empty world,
one God in one mind.

You depopulate the world,
language without words,
language of the mind.

Sparkles in a diamond-fine
layer on your head,
Shining in my mind.
