... a problem will vanish somewhere.... / .... verschwindet irgendwo ein Problem
The postman came to our house today - asking if we would take the parcels for the neighbors who were not answering the door... well, they all are not at home during daytime. So I smiled and said "Well, we surely will" - the postman's face relaxed and he smiled along with me - what a wonderful thing it is, to have a problem solved with a smile!
Der Postbote kam heute und fragte, ob wir die Pakete der Nachbarn annehmen könnten, die nicht daheim waren... nun, sie alle sind über Tag aus dem Haus. Ich lächelte und sagte "Natürlich nehmen wir die an" - das Gesicht des Postboten entspanntesich und er lächelte mit mir - wie schön es ist, wenn sich Probleme mit einem Lächeln lösen lassen!
My youngest came back from kindergarten and told the story of how the Lego-pieces he had taken with him this morning got lost during the day... I smiled at him and asked when they got lost. He answered - with a smiling face that they had been rehearsing the carols for the christmas-party when he lost the Lego. We sang the carols together... "Oh Tannenbaum" is his favourite - all Lego was forgotten... all Lego is replaceble ;-)
*Mein Jüngster kam aus dem Kindergarten und erzählte von den verlorenen Lego-Teilen, die er am Morgen mitgenommen hatte und welche im Tagesverlauf verschütt gegangen waren... Ich lächelte ihn an und fragte, wann er sie verloren hatte. Er erklärte mir - mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht, dass es beim Probesingen der Weihnachtslieder passiert sein musste. Wir haben miteinander gesungen... "Oh Tannenbaum" ist sein Lieblingsstück - alles Lego war vergessen... und alles Lego ist ersetzbar ;-)
