MEDITATION: An Ocean of Peace — Contributing to the Power of Positivity

Filmed on the edge of the Caribbean in Tulum, Mexico, the meditation video below offers an opportunity to bathe in your breath and the peaceful rhythm of the waves.

The power of positivity relies on our ability to reconnect to the essence of who we are, so we can continue to choose thoughts that are aligned with our highest good. In my experience, this reconnection to self needs to happen on a daily basis.

Meditation is a wonderful way to do this!

Meditation Tips:

  1. Relax. Your mind will probably wander. No problem. Keep coming back to your breath.

  2. Start small. Even a few minutes of focused stillness can make a difference.

  3. Rather than focusing on calming your mind (a hard thing to do if you’re thinking about it), concentrate on your breath. What does it feel like as it moves? Can you notice the transitions between each inhale and exhale?

This was filmed years ago, but watching it I find myself soothed by the steady sound of the waves. I offer it to you now, wherever you are in the world, as a way to access the deep peace a calm sea can bring, and to coax you to connect with your breath.

I hope you enjoy this mediation and find it beneficial. Even if all you do is relax and watch the waves, if you shift into a more peaceful vibration, I’d call that a win!
