One time I photographed Jane's Addiction at Key Arena in Seattle, it was glorious for a 27 year old boy who spent most of his young adult life going to concerts and wishing he could be there in the pit taking photos like the pros. Funny thing is, I wasn't even supposed to be there. I'm gonna tell that story in my next post, cause I'm keeping this one short and sweet, so for now, here is a photo of Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, who loved dropping a wicked exaggerated pose whenever I pointed my camera at him, but to be fair, he did look pretty damn cool.
This photo was taken using a Nikon D700 camera and Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 lens at 66mm. Shutter speed was 1/200 at f2.8 and ISO 800 (which was a decent ask on that camera, but it still came out pretty clean if I do say so myself!) The photo was edited using a combination of Adobe Lightroom 5 using the VSCO Film pack 1 presets (probably portra 400 variant) and Adobe Photoshop CS5 for final touch-ups and tweaks.
