Holiday spirit

First of all I want to wish everyone to enjoy their Holiday with their loved ones. Merry Christmas, with some delay, to everyone that celebrated yesterday.

Today, some photos that represents these Holidays that are ahead us. Sister came home for few days and brought some sprinkles so we can take some photos of her while holding them. This is my first time taking portraits like this, it was challenging because of lighting but results came amazing.

Problem was making light that will expose her face to match with lighting from Christmas tree. I took some lights that I have that was meant for mounting to the wall and created some soft light to her face by adding some material to diffuse it more. Material have orange teal that made it more warmer, because these lights were cold white color.

I had to use this lighting because single sprinkler wasn't good enough to expose her face like I wanted. I'm really happy with results and editing that I done and I hope you like it too.

For this photo shooting I used two lenses. First was Canon 50mm 1.8 to create this amazing background blur to isolate subject and I used Sigma 17-50mm 2.8 to take some wider angle photos because our room is small and I needed some lens that will have wider focal length. Second lens doesn't give much light like Canon but it has more detail.
