My mom @fitinfun is working behind the computer like I saw her all of my life.
I took this photo while I was testing my little point and shoot camera before I went on a trip to Denver, Colorado in 2011. My mom gave me this trip after high school graduation and it was the first time I traveled by myself. I had taken a lot of trips with groups and with my mom, but now I was going somewhere alone.
My mom was about halfway through her weight loss in this photo. She looks way thinner than she did but not as thin as she is now. The next time I saw her after this, she was tiny! I’m still not really used to it and it’s been over seven years since she was obese.
I was always scared and worried about my mom and her weight. She was always sick, and in hospitals, and could not do things like walking far when I was growing up. Now she can do many active things and I am so proud of her for losing the weight.
