Random photography thoughts: People I've met once -Lola-

Lola 12 LARGE.jpg

I've taken a lot of picture of a lot of people over the years. A lot of them have been models. It's an interesting dynamic, working with professionals, or even experienced amateurs. You both know exactly why you're there, you've both likely never met each other before, and will likely never see each other ever again, yet, you have to create this special magic that will birth head turning images.

How do you go from zero to hero in each others books in the short time before the lens comes up?

Lola is the lovely lady in the picture. This stands as one of my all time favorite black and white portraits that I've done. I can picture exactly how I staged it in my mind to this day. Across the street from her, using a 200mm telephoto, shooting in between the cars that kept on passing, my neighbors kinda giving me strange looks as they came and went from behind me. Good times with people and cameras, hehe.

Submitting to the #portraitphotography contest held by @juliank Thanks for encouraging people to become better photographers :)
