I want to say that @davidesimoncini has been leading a very interesting PHOTOCHAIN Challenge for a long time.
This time I needed to show a photo that would have 2 events - a tree and a road. Almost everyday I go for a walk with my dog along the road that runs through the forest. Yesterday, another wave of frost came to us. A sunny day and frost.
The road passes through a coniferous forest, in which tall firs and pines grow. The morning winter sun wakes up late and illuminates only the treetops. The sun's rays will fall on the road by the time the Sun begins to roll over the horizon.
It's mid-February, and daylight hours are increasing, another 2 months, and maybe this road will be free of snow, but snow can still be found in the forest until mid-May.
Today I realized that the day is getting really longer. The sun woke up before I left the house. Maslenitsa is celebrated in Russia this week. This holiday in Soviet times was called "Seeing off the Russian winter", but it is very funny to celebrate the passing of winter when it is freezing outside at -30 degrees. Yes, friends, it was -28 degrees on the thermometer this morning.
