Una delle cose che ripete spesso Pepe Mujica, ex presidente dell'Uruguay e che “le cose che noi acquistiamo in realta' non le paghiamo col denaro, ma col tempo impiegato per guadagnarlo,
tempo che viene sottratto alla nostra vita”.
Mi piace spesso scrivere, ripetere e ripetermi questa frase perche'
penso che rappresenti in modo assolutamente esatto come tutti noi
dovremo vivere la nostra vita che, ricordo sempre anche questo, e' la sola che ci e' stata data.
Mio padre 3 anni dopo essere andato in pensione a 53 anni (all'epoca la Fornero era a fare danni altrove, quindi si andava in pensione abbastanza presto) si compro' una casetta in montagna per godersi bene la vita, dopo 3 anni qualcuno lassu' decise che il suo tempo era finito.
Quindi una vita di lavoro, poi a un bel momento tutto finisce e non ti sei goduto quasi niente.
Da allora mi sono riproposto che, parafrasando Baglioni, la vita e' adesso, non faccio sacrifici in attesa di tempi migliori, tolto un chiamiamolo “fondo salute” spendo in viaggi e buona vita tutto quello che guadagno....come direbbe George Best...il resto lo spreco.
La qualita' della vita' deve essere la prima cosa come anche la pandemia ci ha insegnato, gli anni passano, quelli buoni veramente credo e temo siano sempre meno, e' un delitto non passarli alla grande fino a quando il fisico e gli acciacchi lo consentono.

I often like to write, repeat and repeat this phrase to myself because
I think it represents absolutely exactly how we all are
we will have to live our life which, I always remember this too, is the only one that has been given to us.
My father, 3 years after retiring at 53 (at the time Fornero was doing damage elsewhere, so people retired quite early) bought a little house in the mountains to enjoy life well, after 3 years someone up there ' he decided his time was up.
So a lifetime of work, then at one point it all ends and you've enjoyed almost nothing.
Since then I have proposed to myself that, to paraphrase Baglioni, life is now, I don't make sacrifices while waiting for better times, apart from a let's call it a "health fund" I spend everything I earn on travel and a good life.... as George Best would say ...I waste the rest.
The quality of life must be the first thing as the pandemic has also taught us, the years pass, the good ones I truly believe and fear are fewer and fewer, it is a crime not to spend them in a great way until the physical and ailments allow.
Never have regrets my friends.
