Curie Weekly Update (12th Dec to 19th Dec 2016)

In spirit of Curie's transparency, we wish to use this weekly section as an ongoing development blog on our project to communicate our progress on top of the many casual exchanges happening in channel #curie.

  • For those new to Curie, please follow @curie, and join us in #curie on Steemit.chat.
  • We invite curators to submit posts from new authors in #curie on Steemit.chat. A finder's fee of 8 Steem is available for each upvoted post.
  • Follow @curie's votes to support the authors. Please consider following our trail and voting for curated authors. If you are a Streemian user, @curie is an available trail to follow.
  • Curie continues its focus on supporting new authors. Semi-established authors are supported by Steem Guild. Short form posts in Reddit-style tags are also supported by a different project. Please note that these three projects are separate. However, some Curie members do also participate on the other projects.
  • Remember to follow and interact with authors that you love whenever going through The Daily Curie.

Weekly Statistics

Over the last week, Project Curie curated a total of 616 posts at an average of 88 posts per day. A total of 393 unique authors were rewarded. These numbers are slightly below previous week's performance, due to some curators taking some time off.

In what has become a safe assumption, we see a completely fresh list again this week. Except for two repeat entries, in which we are passing onto Steem Guild soon.

We upvoted 262 posts submitted by curators in #curie, with 2096 STEEM paid out / pending payouts to curators. Slightly less submissions were accepted on #curie this week full operations for internal curation.

Note: #curie is now home near to 700 users, over 100 active curators, and is arguably the largest collaborative effort in the Steem community.

@fubar.bdhr is once again displaced by @alcibiades this week! But this time it's almost by only a hairline. Difference of one approved submission. New entrant in the previous week has become #4 this week - @littlemozart, right after @teofilex11. There are plenty of new finders this week, shaking things up.

Studying these top finders, one thing is common among them - their submissions are consistently good, original content.
