Ever since the movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed on Koh Phi Phi, the Maya Bay beach is world-famous. The environmental impact of overtourism has left scars on this natural gem and caused the authorities to deny access to Maya Bay for a while.
