Archisteem: We Have Our Editors for 1001 Places to Remember!

This post is dedicated to @archisteem’s 1001 Places to Remember.

Without realizing, August had ended merciless and here comes September, the last month of the 3rd quarter of 2018. @archisteem has been moving towards the direction to realize the first ever project, 1001 Places to Remember. The journey was a tough one with little to none story submitted during the start and to now about 1 to 3 stories submitted on average daily. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for supporting us throughout the journey. The team hopes to gain more support by getting more people to join this project so that we could in return, support back the authors.

In order to create the 1001 Places to Remember publication, we had been looking for collaborators to help us realize the dream. We have 3 positions that need to be filled which are editors, graphic designer, and website designer. Currently, we had found our graphic designer who is currently working on the draft of our publication template. On the other hand, we are so glad to be approached by @mattifer and @eric-isaiah to have interest in collaborating with us for the role of editor.

First of all, I would like to personally thanks for putting such faith in us and willing to fight alongside with us to realize this project. I am fully aware that without the help of the team, the team will not be able to pull off any project. In Steemit, it is about collaboration between the community members and works wonders out together. In essence, the team seeks to realize the project and grow the community so that we can help and influence more people. Nonetheless, we are also aware that the workload for editing such an amount of submission, 1001 in total would not be an easy task. Thus, we would like to crowdfund a reasonable amount of funding to fund their hard work on the project. We know through our platform alone is still impossible to generate that much of income, so we are here seeking out sponsors and support from the community.

Let me lay out what will be the tasks for our beloved editors:

  1. To summarize every selected story into 300 to 350 words paragraph.
  2. To proofread and check through the contents (all the pages) with the team.
  3. To help the graphic designer to check through their design (any involvement of wordings).
  4. To update the team consistently and diligently on the progress of work as the time schedule is tight.

In order to streamline this, we already set up a specialized channel for this project collaborators. This is to ease the communication between the team and collaborators. Besides that, we have a master reference file that keeps track of all the submitted works by the authors from our @archisteem community. This will be the reference for the editors to pick all the stories to be summarized. When the editor is done with their summarization, there will be a master filing system that keeps all the works for the graphic designer to insert into the template. Due to the volume of the work by editors, we are happy that we could find two awesome collaborators this early.

Again, I am here to sincerely ask the community to help us realize our vision to create the first Steemit based content publication that focuses on people, places, and memories! We had set up our @fundition project profile and will keep updating the project so that our backers can keep track on our progress. In the meantime, I am also seeking help from @teammalaysia and @sndbox for helping @archisteem to support this project.
