Street Photography

My entry for today's #streetphotography is this photograph of an old man comfortably leaning on a barricade post (I'm not sure if its really called a "barricade post" though). Hahaha.

He seems to be offering tours around Intramuros. What he is holding is a piece of laminated photos of the spots you can see within the walled city.

This was taken just outside Manila Cathedral using my Canon 1100D.

I took this photo because I want to document and show the different human activities outside Manila Cathedral.

I love capturing candid shots. Its one of my favorite things to do with my camera. I love to capture human emotions. Just like this.

I love the contradiction of his body and his facial expression. His body seemed laid-back but his face says otherwise. He is somewhat eager and attentively looking out for clients, not wanting to miss an opportunity.

But this photo could also mean another thing, he could also be feeling a bit hopeless for not getting a client that day. He could be worried. He could be upset. Or he could just be feeling tired, and was getting some rest.

There a lot of stories on the streets, and they are worth capturing.
