Contribution to Esteem App - A new Bug
I want to report a new bug to the Esteem team regarding the mobile esteem app. The recent changes of the updated new app is much appreciated. Just want the Esteem to know that we appreciate all your hard work.
So as I use the app, I will continually report bugs that I experience so that you all know what we are experiencing at our end as a user.
Problem with the Portrait Images
Yesterday, I did a post in the Utopian platform. While everything looks fine on the Steemit platform, I browsed through the post on my mobile esteem app at night.
I noticed that there was something wrong with the image, particularly the "Portrait Images".
Here is a screen shot from my Home Blog Page on the Esteem App.
- Look at the second blog post
- the image is portrait image but it is turned to landscape image
- while the image is there but it is not good for users to turn their heads to look at our images.
Expected Look - Look at how it looks on the Steemit it Platform
Take a look at how the image looks on Steemit platform.
Example 1 Portrait Images inside the Blog Post
Inside the blog post, all the landscape images look fine. It is only the Portrait images that have trouble showing portrait images.
In this post, I will show you all the examples so that you can try to fix the bug.

The image there is a portrait image but it shows up as a landscape image inside the blog.
Example 2 - Another Portrait Image turned to Landscape Image in the Blog Post
This bug pattern is very consistent. Every portrait image is turned to landscape image.

The image I uploaded was a portrait image. But on the app, you see that the portrait image again is turned to a landscape image.
Example 3 - Another Portrait Image is turned to Landscape Image
Here is the third example that shows up as landscape image in the blog post.

This Portrait image is turned to the other way around. I uploaded the portrait image but it becomes a landscape image on the app.
It is not a good user experience if they keep turning their mobile phone to left and right looking at these pictures.
Expected Look - I will give you a screen shot from the Blog Post on Steemit.
The portrait images inside the blog remains as portrait inside the Steemit blog.

The images that show up in the Steemit Platform is in portrait style and not landscape style.
