Do you love visiting and exploring new places?
I do! Especially as a guest at a new hotel.
Your guided tour to the official hotel for Steemfest 2016, the Volkshotel, begins now:
The central location was a fantastic choice: subway station a short walk down the block, a brief ride, and the red light district was right there for the Sunday Funday tour.
Now, on the roof of the Volkshotel was a toasty bonus:
Hot tubs! This is one example of the three barrel tubs (along with a sauna), the hotel provided for their guests.
On the weekends, the top floor morphed into a nightclub open to the public, with free admission for guests. Hardcore jungle was ripping through the speakers until 4 am, and the inn demonstrated, once again, serving their patrons' needs.
4 am, club is closing, time to hit the sack, right?
Guess again! This is Amsterdam man! Volkshotel don't stop 'til 6 o'clock! LITERALLY.
Swept along with a crowd of new friends, we all took the elevator down to the basement of the building to find ANOTHER club going full clip to some thick house grooves.
Fantastic vibe all around, good times.
Thank you Ned, thank you Roland, and my fondest regards and memories going out to Scott, Juan, Kevin, firepower, Heidi, Gandalf, Neil, Quento, and everyone who attended Steemfest in Amsterdam and made the event such a terrific experience 🙂
