As much as I love just watching a sunset and really appreciating it without a camera to distract me, sometimes capturing it is just as good! This week we were blessed with this amazing view from our house... yes from our house! I literally didn't even have to go outside to get this amazing view. I normally use my Canon 6D but it was all packed away so this time I used the Olympus OM-D with the 14-42mm lens. Its so versatile and with the amazing zoom I was able to frame different aspects of the horizon in the shots.
The colours were changing so fast that every time I pressed the shutter the colours looked so different. The purples were turning into orange and then to yellow. The sun had already dipped below the horizon so the last bits of light were casting their light on the clouds closest to the horizon. It was so atmospheric. It had been a really hot day so to end the day like this was really so beautiful. I always find watching sunsets so relaxing, knowing that whatever has happened this day a new day will begin tomorrow. I hope you enjoy looking at all the shots I got that evening!
