Who doesn't like chocolate?
Yeah, I know, there're a lot out there that are not really into chocolate.. Though, I love chocolate! I do! Haaa that's why we're talking about chocolate, right here, right now.
Chocolate is everwhere and I'm suddenly writing about this one for the whole entire post!
It must be that good!
Yes, it is that good! It's REAL chocolate!! and by that, I am not saying that other ones are fake. Well, kind of but not really LOLOL
My original videos are at DTube and DLive
Sneak a peek! Here's what we're getting to..
MUTARI CRAFT CHOCOLATE
The place called 'Mutari' located in Santa Cruz, California. We actually hadn't known or heard about it but it's just one day hangout in Downtown Santa Cruz, we passed by the place in the morning (not even open yet) ,it caught my attention somehow.
So with my good manner, I opened the door (Yes! It's not open yet) and asked what time would it be open later on.
Here we go 11 a.m. !
At the very first second of walking into the shop, OMG! The smell hit our nose real hard. Smells like DARK CHOCOLATE! Smells so good it made me smile!
There's Kev! @trinityandgrow sitting by all the cacao beans bags
Homies, This is so homey!!
I love how simple they decorate the shop and make it feels so cozy just like home. 'A cozy house that smells like chocolate' !!
I had not notice it at first but once I found out.. The counter made of doors! haha that's cool!
7 Region chocolate
They have tons of cacao beans in bags from 7 regions : Honduras, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, Tanzania and you know, a few more LOLOL
Everything roasted and ground in house (They use stone wheels to grind!), how awesome!
Besides, drinking chocolate, Mutari also has products like, chocolate bars and drinking chocolate (Make it yourself).
Mutari chocolate tasting flight!
There are varieties of items on the menu and I to be honest wasn't sure what to get so I order the thing called 'Flight' where I could get 4 flavors in one.
Sipping Chocolate
- Peru (80%)
- Tanzania (68%)
Hot Chocolate
- Himalayan Pink Salt (54%)
- Mexican spices (54%)
** My favourites from the tasting flight were Peru and Himalayan Pink Salt
Served with a cup of whipped cream.
Proper way of Chocolate Tasting
We were told that we should start with the highest percentage of chocolate first (Don't have to finish it) then try it another round before start putting some whipped cream on top and Yay!
My most favorite chocolate on earth!
I'm not even kidding! I do mean it. One place that I used to loved so much is in Vancouver but it's permanently closed and the owner now traveling somewhere.. Same thing like this one, passionate people make such good cups of rich and thick drinking chocolate.
Last year, I went to Europe including France and Belgium. I couldn't find one that made it this good (or I didn't find it seriously enough?). They have just a very liquidy ones if you know what I mean..
I know there's one good one in London and when I'm there, @adetorrent will take me there and now you all readers are witnesses!!
Here is the exact address :
