Gas stations roped off. Closed. Out of gas.
Well yeah, a hurricane is coming to our state! This is expected, right?
We are 400 miles away from the coast and this photo was taken 5 days ago!
This was not isolated to one gas station. I drove around to 10 stations over a 15 mile radius. All we’re out.
If this isn’t proof of how fragile and dependent we’ve become on the DRIP of supplies we’re fed on our leashes, I don’t know what is.
Take the necessary steps to secure basic safety and provisions for you and your family. AHEAD OF TIME so you can rest easy while others panic and leisurely snap a photo of the empty pumps instead of raving to find what you (now) desperately need.
