You might never know the impact of your upvote till someone writes about it. I have been on steemit for quite a long time. I have seen better days and i have seen some bad ones too. I joined the platform at a time when things were quite greesy. Steem was soaring at the 2$ trading rate. My major offline activity that is related to steemit is its promotion. I am a student at a public university and i havent found it much easier than before in introducing steemit since i joined the platform till now.
What Is New
Though most things remain the same as they were, there is hope of good rewards due to support systems like @minnosupport africaunite which is spearheaded by @dragonslayer109 and also @tumutanzi a chinese curator who wants to see smiles on good content creators in Africa. We are so much greatful for your great works. All these people and projects have contributed to the sudden growth and activity in the Ghanaian province. Now the #ghana is flooded with good content from a good number of Ghanaians who are interested in writing and sharing their ideas.
What Is Next
Due to the support we have now, the retention rate of new users has increased dramatically. Their articles gets seen and because the #ghana community is quite established, they get interactions from their fellow ghanaians on the platform making them feel welcomed. I believe this is one of the visions and goals of creating this great platform. To create communities.
Next on the radar is to flood steemit with the creative minds of Ghanaians. This is an ongoing activity. I have a team of 5 in my university who we plan to advertise steemit to all freshers and continuing students. I recently introduced @brightkwaku who seems to love the idea of spreading the gospel. His introductory post can be found [here](Hello Steemit, Here I come.)
Also in the team of five is @christianosei who was equally recently introduced to steemit by myself. His introductory post can be found here

@w4c is also part of this history making team in Ghana. He was equally introduced by me just recently and his introductory post can be found here
I have already modified the flyer i made for my promotion campaign in Sunyani.
I will be printing out 30 copies to be posted on all the notice boards on Campus. I will also be printing a mini sticker version of the flyers so that students can stick it to their bags and other place to promote the advertisement. Also on the agenda is a T-shirt that is being made for this promotion. The promotion is going to be a long and fruitful one with a target of at least 500 students signing up. I dont know how long that will take but that is my target for now and i believe i can reach it.
I have already done some recruitment in the university. Enjoy some of the pictures of those i introduced.
What Is Needed To Succeed In this Project
To a newbie, steemit can be overwhelming and strange to them. I will try my best to show them how to produce quality content and your upvote is what will make the difference whether they will stay or not. I hope to get the support of @tumutanzi @ackza @starkerz @stellabelle @stephenkendal @teamsteem @ehiboss @thejohalfiles and all african curators to curate the quality content these new writers have for us. All post will be in the #ghana tag and if you are looking to support this growing community, pass by to curate all the good post written by the thriving Ghana community. Thank you for your support in Advance.
