Steemit is a glorified beauty contest:

• If someone else does not think that your post is worth upvoting, it does not mean that it is not good or valuable.

• Every Steemian has 10 votes at 100% power. Some whales vote at even as low as 1% power giving them 1000 votes.

• I do not have accurate numbers, but votes may have been pre-allocated to guilds.

• Or votes are pre-allocated to friends & family.

• Or bots have exhausted their votes.

• Every vote is not equal. Some have more voting power.

With a little patience & consistent effort you too can succeed on Steemit.
