Hours of thought

Hours of thought

Of those nights, when I stare at the sky
And gather the moon in my imagination,
The galaxy of stars all gazing at me
Those nights I make my confession and expect an answer.

Of those hot afternoons when I perspire
And let the sun hit me
To dry away all my emotions
And leave me with nothing to worry about

Of all those mornings I wake to a new day
Expecting my woman right at my doorstep
And a long walk through the street
For morning exercise and gist

Those days I realised I haven't found her;
I realise I have to wait a little longer
And I realised that the more I wait, the more my emotions elevated.

For this woman I want
Just to know she exists somewhere out there
And to relieve my spirit that my wait is profitable.

Those days and hours of thought
I still experience like a man;
Whose destination unknown
Yet on a worthy journey.
