The Power Of Christ Compels You To Embrace Your Liberty!

I am not a Christian, though I was raised one.
I am not a statist either, though, I was raised one of those too.
It is kind of strange that I learned more about language,
reason, and philosophy in church than I ever did at state school.

Maybe that is not so strange.
It is strange that what I learned at church was the same knowledge
that allowed me to reason my way out of church.
There were other benefits. I learned to read and write before I went to school.
This was so I could read the Bible.

As a result, I had no problems at all reading Beowulf in old English
or Shakespeare, in it's original form. It never occurred to me until later,
why so many of my classmates had such problems with Shakespeare.
This was a benefit of being raised on the King James Bible.

The benefits go further.
I can understand how some of the concepts
that are authoritarian came out of the monarchies of Europe,
but I never was fooled by some of the concepts,
from the time I gained comprehension of what
the philosophy behind the Constitution of the United States of America means
in relation to the logic of philosophy.

When I first came to this understanding, it was at a very rudimentary level.
Still it is one of the things that has stuck with me all these years,
these are the verses the church people used to show
why we should always obey the government.

In the book of Mark chapter 12 and verse 16 and 17 it says,

“And they brought it (a coin). And he saith unto them,
Whose is this image and superscription?
And they said unto him, Caesar's.
And Jesus answering said unto them,
Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's,
and to God the things that are God's.
And they marvelled at him.”

In the book of Romans chapter 13 verses 1 and 2 it says,

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.
For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power,
resisteth the ordinance of God:
and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

and suddenly, you say to yourself, what the f#ck?
Did I just walk into the morning sermon or what?

No, you didn't. Just wait for it.
You see, in the law of The United States of America, the ultimate authority comes,
not from God, and not From the government but,
from consent of the governed. The power comes from We the People,
within the limits of our natural rights derived from the natural world.
So, what it comes down to, in this country is,

WE THE PEOPLE ARE CAESAR!

RENDER UNTO US WHAT IS OURS!

AND IF YOU RESISTETH,

RECEIVE UNTO YOURSELF DAMNATION!

Can I get an Amen?
