Game Players Nintendo Guide (March 1993)

Cover of the March 1993 issue of Game Players Nintendo Guide

There were a number of general and system specific magazines with the Game Players label. Game Players Nintendo Guide is obviously for systems made by Nintendo and the March 1993 issue included coverage of the NES, Game Boy, and the recently released Super Nintendo. Contents includes:

Departments

  • Editor's Notes - This month's letter from the editor teases events at the Winter CES which will be covered in full the following month. Star Fox and the Super FX chip were among the hot new items.

  • Hot Shots - Short game previews and other news bits this month including Star Fox, Kirby's Dream Land, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Cliffhanger, The Last Action Hero, Dracula, the new 3DO, Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt and more.

  • Caesar's Palace (SNES) - A casino game featuring video poker, roulette, blackjack and wheel of fortune.

  • James Bond Jr. (SNES) - An action game based on the animated series (which I never saw) of the same name.

  • Jimmy Connors Pro Tennis Tour (SNES) - A pretty good tennis game featuring singles or doubles, exhibition or tournament mode.

  • The Legend of Ghost Lion (NES) - A "below average" RPG I've never heard of by Kemco.
