PIHKAL-A Chemical Love Story
I would love to introduce you to this book I'm reading, it's a brilliant and monumentus story called PIHKAL A chemical love story written by the famous chemist and author Alexander Shulgin.
There has never before, and because of current legislation around the World, I doubt there will ever be, another book of this kind put out, and yet not that many people have probably even heard of it and that I why I would like to review it for you now.
This book will never make any bestseller lists or be on general public bookshelfs, but no psychedelic library of literature would be complete without it!.
For over a quarter of a century the author has been the only person in the World to synthesize and give detailed feedback on nearly 200 chemicals with similar effects to those of psilocybin mescaline and LSD.
The books beginnings are autobiographical, giving you details of two fictitious characters, who's life paths intertwine in the passion for psychedelics and also their undying love of each other.
The two characters research very much focuses on the study of 'the meaning of life' for these two very remarkable, extraordinary sensitive, intuitive humans.
In the second part of the book, it's an alchemist/wizard of the future cookbook of spells, to concoct synthetic chemical compounds of encyclopedic proportions!
If one book was to survive a disaster this one should.
I myself like the author and many other psychedelic psyconaughts im sure, are convinced whole heartedly that there's massive opportunities for mind expansion through inner exploration, via psychedelic drugs taken in the right setting and environment.
Such a shame that our generation has made this search for the inner self a crime. If your wish is to explore your inner realm that lies just beyond our senses this should be your right should it not be so?
Psychedelics are older than the oldest religious writings on this Earth. Ancient Egyptian texts date back over 4,500 years, whereas peyote containing mescaline has been found in ancient ritual caves in north America from well over 7,000 years ago.
For many centuries other so called (under developed) countries have revered their medicine people. They had a deep knowledge, and a respect for the plant medicines, and to discard such valuable insight and wisdom, surely is a terrible crime.
Here's the details of the book if you wish to obtain a copy for your knowledge and your library
