TV show American Gods is based on award winning novel from 2001 by Neil Gaiman. It is a fantasy based story line based on ancient and modern mythology, I won't go into too many details, I will left you to discover them for yourselves. Supernatural elements are not showed in the first few episodes, viewers are introduced with the show's main theme slowly with an extra dose of supernatural in every new episode, it is masterfully done and every new episode brings something new and shocking. I was immediately hooked for the show and I went to research everything about the book, and I must say this is an interesting one. Well worth of your time, it has all the elements to become a classic judging by the four episodes released to date.
Story follows Shadow Moon, a con artists serving his time in prison, soon he was released before the end of his sentence to go to his wife funeral, during his travel home he meets mysterious mr. Wednesday who somehow knows every detail of his life, what happens next is for you to discover, it's a fun ride to say the least. There are so many popular actors featuring in American Gods, most popular ones are Ian McShane who plays mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning, Gillian Andersen, Peter Stormare and so many others. It's a show that will make anyone interested for more. But, be advised, some scenes are explicit and shocking, best to be compared with recent TV show Spartacus. It's a heavy stylized show with slow motion scenes and great music playing in the background. This very quickly became my favorite TV show today, watch it! 9.5/10
