Hi everyone, this is R of @jrvacation. Just saw this post by @anomadsoul and thought I would give it a try to write my first freewrite, so please pardon the mistakes :)
Ever since @roelandp first announced the SteemFest3, we (J and R) had been contemplating to join. We started sourcing for cheap air tickets and researching the area around Poland. We had never been to Europe and this is probably the best excuse for us to make our first visit!
However, as the steemit account is shared by both of us, it means double costs, double expenditure for the trip. Going to Steemfest was never in our holiday plan for this year and we do not have the budget for it. Thus, a cheap air ticket for both of us is a must. And these few days, we finally found a good package and will proceed to book it soon!
Besides the air tix, there's also the accomodations, fest tickets, and other expenses. Having only joined Steemit last November, we did not have much clue about Steemfest2. What does the fest tickets cover? Conference entrance? City tour? How about meals? We are anxiously waiting for more detail on these items to continue our budgeting. In fact, I had started to power down steem power to ready for this trip. Hoping the price of Steem can rise quickly in the next few weeks :)
Also looking out for any contests or sponsorships to help subsidise some of our expenses for this trip :)
We are relatively new to steemit and hardly know anyone outside of the small circle within the jp and sg community. Would it be awkward for us to be in steemfest? Would the big whales even care if we are there?
Anyway, the decision is made. And we will be there at Steemfest. So, everyone, please look out for us. We are @jrvacation ^^
