For this week's weekly #runforsteem as initiated by @jumowa, I wanted to do a little writeup on my run in Minnesota. That is why I included this elevation information in the first graphic.
Yesterday, I ran 4.26 miles in this area.
Why did I mention elevation? As you can see from my stats above, my overall pacing was off by about a solid minute. Even my "fast" clips were slower than normal.
That's because I am normally running here:
So, yesterday's elevation was >3x what I am normally used to running in. BUT, not nearly as bad as when I ran here, many years ago....
As some of you know, I suffer from asthma. The elevation yesterday didn't affect my asthma at all actually. The run itself just felt more difficult.
It's interesting. I would definitely not mind living in high altitude part of the year for training purposes.

As always, the forum is open for discussion. What are your experiences with high altitude running or exercising?
Could you tell a notable difference?
Thanks for dropping into my blog & have a great day/ night.
For inquiring minds: These are all my own screenshots & running stats.
