Extreme Jogging - #runforsteem - Botmaskop with Riana and Ghost

This morning I had the privilege to run part of the awesome hill behind our house with my wife (Riana) and our trail Jack Russell (Ghost).

We left the kids at grandma and grandpa, and headed up the hill behind our house. You start with an awesome single track through the forest and then get into the open where you can look into the beautiful Jonkershoek Valley.

The challenge with this route is that the first 2.5km is a climb. At 2.5km, we did a quick contour jeep track just to give the legs a rest and then headed down again.

Since my achilles is still dodgy and I was sick for a week, we decided to rather make the run sweet and short. The downhill was magical and this evening I'm feeling good!

Here is some of my favourite photos of the day. Let me know what you think?
