Lurgy in December meant it was my quietest ever running month since I became a regular runner but January has allowed me to get back on it.
Having completed my second London Marathon last year I'm switching my focus to chase two new race distances this year - the 1500m and 800m! I've enjoyed running the Mile on road and track over the last couple of summers so now I want to see what I'm capable of at the regular middle distance runs.
As well as the speedwork it's important not to forget the base aerobic training so today I went out for 80 minutes at low heart rate.
Kept in the right heart rate zone (for me) for 91% of the workout so I'm happy with that; especially after a tough speed session yesterday.
