SHOULD WE ONLY BELIEVE IN WHAT CAN BE SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN?

THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD

The scientific method is a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses. This method itself presupposes the truth about a lot of things such as mathematical and logical absolutes, without trying to scientifically prove them as that would be logically impossible and would lead to vicious circularity.

IN SCIENCE WE TRUST... REALLY?

In our generation, there has been a rise in what I'd like to call "scientism" which is founded upon the assertion that the scientific method is the only method for seeking out truth. Yet that assertion itself cannot be scientifically proven which makes it a self-undermining assertion. In order for us to even use or trust the scientific method, we have to first trust the reality that we're living in and dealing with, PLUS our cognitive faculties, senses, etc. What could possibly be the justification for such trust/faith if not backed by belief and trust in a trustworthy and known Creator?
