How I Made a Solar Car In 30 Minutes And How It Compares To My Steemit Experience

When I first set about doing this Solar Car science activity I didn't think It was actually going to work. I really wanted it to, and was going to try very hard but it looked at the instructions manual and it looked very complicated. I thought it had a chance of moving a little bit but not fast or far.

So I just started making it anyway.

First, I started attaching the wheels and gears to the frame. When that was done, I put the solar cell and the motor on the car. Aside from having a bit of difficulty putting the wheels on without getting them too tight, it went very smoothly. Then came the hard part, the wiring. Now this might have been a lot easier had they had decent instructions for this part of the project, but of course, they didn't. The directions were literally "wire the solar cell to the motor".

It took a few tries to get it right but eventually I did. I was amazed to see it burst forward and it was a lot of fun went it went down our sidewalk going past two houses.

This actually compares to my experience on the amazing website that is Steemit. When I first was encouraged to sign up by my Dad, I was really excited. I didn't know how much a middle schooler could make writing a bunch of Star Wars posts could make.

I really only thought I would make only a couple dollars each month or so but I am sitting here with $158.12 (counting money coming from current posts) after sixteen days. Thanks so much for reading and may the force be with you!
