An interactive email service that will answer spam emails for you and drive the scammer nuts until they quit.
I have a very exciting offer for you...
...I am a managing director on an important bank, I have $1,200,000 in a frozen bank account but unfortunately I cannot access them right now. If you can provide me with your bank details we can make a transfer and you receive $800,000 as a reward to keep for realizing this business opportunity.
Or something like that.
I'm pretty sure that most of us have received at least a hundred emails from these angel investors and Nigerian princes with extremely lucrative business offers.
Most times these attempts come to fruition only if a really gullible person is on the receiving end, however we all become suffer by wasting our time on these annoying scammers.
Wouldn't it be nice to pay back some and waste their time for a change?
Introducing Spamnesty
This developer felt the same way. He developed a super fun service that is meant to waste spammers time. If you receive a spam mail, you can forward it to sp@mnesty.com. The software will remove your email address and pretend to be a human. Then it will start to reply to the spammer convincing him that he is ready to enter a business partnership. It will also give you link so you can watch the conversation unfold in real time.
This is helpful in two ways: Firstly it will waste the spammers time and perhaps make him reconsider his line of work. Secondly, while the spammer is busy talking to a bot he won't be using the time on a real victim.

Here are some screenshots of what Spamnesty will do. It's hilarious to read knowing that it's a bot answering the spammer.
Well, you get the picture. You can read some more here or here and here.

Spamnesty is not a finished product yet, so you should use it bearing in mind it might act funky. Looking forward to it's completion and trying it out on the next piece of junk that lands in my inbox.
