While it is true that you are what you think about most of the time, and that your ideas, goals and experience shape who you become - this ever unfurling blossoming of the soul will not reach its potential without drawing light to the obstacles within your path. Your acting self, or in other words egoic self may become stuck and solidified if you aren't careful. The learning that I get from this is to develop the skill of evolving with fluidity. If you strictly build upon your ego it is much like building a castle of sand on the sea shore, it will surely crumble under the reality of its environment. Rather what I speak of is an investment into the subconscious and super conscious self. This is a timeless pursuit and will spare you the grievences of having to kill your own false idol.
'I am tomorrow, or some future day, what I establish today. I am today what I established yesterday or some previous day.'
James Joyce
'Our Age of Anxiety is, in great part, the result of trying to do today's job with yesterday's tools and yesterday's concepts'
Marshal McLuhan
