Happy Wednesday gearheads! Has everyone been out wrenching on your hotrods? Nah, me neither, but I have been making some of my customers dreams come true.
Finally the Mustang moves on It's own, so it's off to the body shop for a few weeks before it comes back to be finished.
This car came to me as a shell with caster wheels welded on. Now it's a fuel injected 427 small block with air conditioning and gear vendors overdrive.
I have spent a few days of my life wiring and fitting components into this dash.
The last step to make the car drive was to shorten the driveshaft. We will be buying a crazy new driveshaft that will handle some abuse and look beautiful. This one is temporary however I have modifed a number of driveshafts in the past with no issues.
These are not your regular winter tires! We removed the racing slicks and put the street tires on for someone's summer toy.
Check out this old school hotrodding. A new set of wheels on a freshly painted Mercury Comet didn't look quite right so I cut the front springs to bring the front down a little.
About half a coil should do.
Action shot
I really should have two hands on the tool instead of holding my Samsung Galaxy...
Oh yeah, that looks good!
After lowering the car a wheel alignment is in order so the tires don't wear and the car drives straight. There is a target on each wheel that the aligner reads.
I have some exciting things lined up for next week's #shopshots so stay tuned folks.
Our Gamma Syndicate is growing quickly. We have a lively chat group if anyone is interested
