SteemDance - A SteemFest Special

Many of you guys asked me to do a small workshop for non-dancers. As published the great SteemFest weekend is going to start with night drinks and I am sure some of you would like to visit Amsterdam and its clubs by night too. This is a great opportunity to show you some dance steps so you are prepared for every dance floor…

There are different types of dancers in a club….

The person who actually knows how to dance and let everyone else look stupid...

The ironic dancer who knows he has got the worst moves but their confidence is enormous...

The hot guy who sucks at dancing but no one has the heart to tell him...

The couple who might have sex on the dance floor...

The Bachelorette Party 5-20 girls dancing together no matter what...

The person who´s dancing to their own drummer...

The aggressive song requester...

My first advice for you guys… keep it simple.
Everyone should keep their own style but please reduce it to a minimum.

A very important advice is to listen to the beat precisely before you start to turn up. For beginners it is helpful to just use the main beats which are repeating through the chorus every time! Boom Ka Boom Ka

Here are my 5 steps you can´t go wrong with:

The Bounce

Just bounce slow to the beat. It makes you look cool and relaxed

The Steps

Just step from left to right and do it again. Try to combine the steps with the bouncing just like I showed you before.

The Slide

When you wanna slide to right, just step with your right foot to the side and slide your left food towards the right one.
Use it like one of your special moves cause it can be too much when you do it more often.

The Wave

This one is probably one of the most famous moves ever. A body wave is simple but looks amazing. For a club I recommend a small body wave, starting with your chest going down until your hips. This is enough to show them that you know how to move your body.

The moving hips

Just bend your knees a little bit so you have enough space to move your hips to the side. Use it gently because it can look a bit too sexual when you exaggerate it.

Tip by Soldier - Dance to songs which you are feeling the most. It is obvious who is enjoying the beat and who´s not! Otherwise it is more difficult to get into the rhythm. Having fun is most important!
If you are a total beginner I would recommend to practice at home in front of a mirror, so you´re going to see how it would look like when you´re moving. Its a great task believe me - I did this many years and still do!
