Week four of the six-week Health Challenge: Oatmeal and banana cookies

Those who think they do not have time for healthy eating will sooner or later find time for the disease.-Edward Stanley.

Good evening my dear friends of this beautiful community STEEMIT, I hope you are well; Today I come here to participate in the challenge of the fourth week of #sixweekhealth organized by @healthsquared and @sweetsssj. This week is about preparing a healthy dessert. Something that I like a lot because I always try to make healthy desserts for my two beautiful daughters.

In my opinion, a healthy dessert is one that is combined by nutritious ingredients, whole and as natural as possible, which offer the body good nutrition while enjoying what you eat.
In order for a dessert to be healthy it must be free of sugar and artificial sweeteners, the ingredients that it carries must be integral or be as less processed as possible in order to acquire the complete nutrients of each food; and the ingredients must be balanced

In this opportunity I decided to prepare some delicious oatmeal and banana cookies; which are very rich and nutritious.
Oats have excellent nutritional properties such as: approximately 300 calories per serving, including fiber, protein, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, vitamins, minerals - calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and manganese.

Oats to lower cholesterol is ideal, as well as blood pressure. Improves the digestive system, regulates blood sugar and protects against cancer.

Oats

The banana can help us to improve the symptoms of depression as well as those of premenstrual syndrome. They are also very suitable for soothing the nerves in times of stress or anxiety
The banana is characterized by being rich in carbohydrates, which makes it one of the largest sources of plant energy. It is composed of three types of sugars (fructose, sucrose and glucose), which are compensated with their minimum fat content and high fiber content, which helps regulate their absorption.
Banana consumption is recommended especially in children's diets that, in many cases, require a food that helps them to satisfy hunger quickly. In addition, it is recommended for athletes, who need energy to improve their performance. However, in addition to these benefits, there are many other reasons to start including more bananas in the diet without fear.

What are the properties of banana?
. It has vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, B9 (folic acid) and E.
. They are rich in fiber.
. It has minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, selenium, zinc and iron.
. It contains tryptophan, an essential amino acid.

Banana

So do not hesitate to consume bananas as it is a very healthy food that brings great benefits to health, both physical and mental. It does not contain fats and only provides 105 calories.

Well now if we are going to talk about my healthy dessert; I hope you like it.

  • We prepare the oatmeal, for this procedure we liquefy the oats in flakes and there we obtain the oatmeal.

- To the flour of the oats we add the solid ingredients and stir; then add the banana and stir to form a soft dough. In my case I added granola because I did not get oatmeal and it is a good variant.
