Thanks to everyone who participated in our first Create-A-Slothicorn contest!

I appreciated everyone, and I wish I could include all of them in the tiny book! There were way too many entries for that, so thanks for the overwhelmingly large creative turnout!

We have a first place winner for the Crypto Survival Kit! Here’s the winning entry by @crimsonclad:

The community has spoken and chosen @crimsonclad as the first place winner!

The Crypto Survival Kit includes a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet, a USB stick, and a Yubikey (value over $70). The votes in the comments from this post determined who won.

Special thanks goes to @fluffywiggle, owner and artist of Kawaii Crypto, who has agreed to let us use her drawing as our official logo. Check out her store online to buy awesomely cute animal crypto stickers in your favorite cryptocurrency like Bitcoin Cash, Steem, NEO, Monero, Dash, etc. She accepts payment in Steem, so you have no excuse not to buy stuff in her store: https://kawaiicrypto.com/

It was hard to narrow it down, but it appears that the following people have won a tiny book full of the Slothicorn entries. If your name is on this list, send a private message to @stellabelle in either: Steemit Chat, Discord (@Stella) or you can send me a DM in Twitter (@stellabelle) and include your mailing address in your message. I am going to send out these tiny books via snail mail, so please let me know if your address is safe to receive mail.

We had a tie for the 24th place, so I’ll find a way to put two entries in one space. Special recognition goes to @artistchristian because all three of his entries were chosen.

I took a few days off to celebrate the New Year, and there are lots of developments with the Creative Commons Cryptoart community, AKA, Slothicorn. @rubenalexander has created a game which you can read about here: @rubenalexander/rpg-slothy-s-arcade-adventure

@justatouchfey has become a project manager for Slothicorn, and is putting together our first big game, which is still in the making and set to launch in the spring. We will have a post detailing this game which involves large physical Slothicorns and augmented reality (among other things). If this sounds interesting and you want to help, join our Discord.

If you’ve been submitting random art and using the tag, “slothicorn” but have not received an upvote, you need to read our submission rules. We have decided to focus on Creative Commons art that relates to cryptocurrency in some way. We also want to foster the growth of crypto gaming, and other interesting niche crypto art.

At this point, we are not accepting random, general art. This would overwhelm our staff, and also not create anything new in the world. We feel that focusing on the emerging cryptoart genre and also encouraging artists to work in a collaborative way, we can create new kinds of art, maybe art that does not yet exist. We’re also looking for a backend dev to work with us on our website, so if our mission sounds interesting to you, please join our discord.

If you need to learn the rules for submitting a post, read this: @stellabelle/rules-for-submitting-a-post-to-slothicorn

Thanks to all the creative people of Steemit who made our first contest absurdly successful. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated and got paid for creating creative commons cryptoart. 2018 is going to be an amazing year for us all!

I belong to everyone and no one,
Slothicorn
