SMARTSTEEM: preventing abuse and generating profit for YOU

The steem blockchain stays on top of a whole lot of lists that make it one of the best in the world and part of this blockchain are a lot of new applications and services that are being developed.

There is also a big debate going on about the ethics and abuse on the blockchain and this is something that a lot of developers are struggling with. As such they try to adapt their services in a way that balances the commercial aspect with the ethical one (not always an easy one)

one of these services is

SMARTSTEEM

Now most of you know of this service or have read about it. Here is a little recap of what is offered in this smart and ethical steem service:

  • buying from Smartmarket:

buy upvotes from the people that sell their votes to the system. The beauty of this system is that you as a user can apply to be whitelisted and so have access to a bigger pool of vote sellers.

  • Selling to Smartmarket:

just register here on smartsteem.com to sell your surplus votes. You can choose to sell to all vote buyers but can also choose to sell only to whitelisted members and as such you can be sure that your vote will not go to people that are outright scammers here on the steem blockchain.

  • Buying from Smartsteem:

this is the bidbot that is voting from the delegations and does this every 2,4 hours. You can do this by checking if it is profitable on steembottracker which is an amazing service from @yabapmatt
I have spoken to @therealwolf and he is looking into a way to prevent spammers/plagiarists from using this bot or at least blacklisting them which is another great step into improving the ethics and preventing abuse.

  • Delegating to Smartsteem:

in this part there is an option to delegate part of your steem power to the bidbot and you get a return on the profits from that delegation sent to your account on a regular basis.

INNOVATIONS

Above are all the regular services provided to Steemians that are here to grow with us on Steem without abusing the system

Now recently @therealwolf (lead developer) has added some nifty adjustments to the system.

The first of those is the Revenue Calculator.

A lot of questions are asked on how much profit would it bring if I would sell my votes or delegate so much SP and now there is an easy solution.

just click the button on the top right corner next to your name and a new window will pop up on the calculator. This window will offer you 2 options. I have entered my account and my SP as an example so you can see my possible revenue as well.

  • Vote Selling

  • SteemPower Delegation

Now this assumes that I do not vote on anything at any time (which is not the case as I tend to upvote thoughtful comments on my posts) or that I delegate all my Steem Power which i have not (i have 120SP delegated to Smartsteem) but these would be the maximum revenue possible when NOT blogging or voting myself (but I am to addicted to Steeming to do that).

The second improvement are the referrals

Yes there is another way to make a little bit of extra income. @therealwolf has created a service where you really want to click this link or the pic below:
https://smartsteem.com?r=felander

Why?

well that is easy, everybody wins.

  • When you sign up through this link you will start selling your spare Voting Power and make some extra income (this becomes worth it from roughly 40SP)
  • When you sign up through this link I will receive 0,5% of every vote you sell BUT this does not come out of your cut, it comes from the profit of the system.
  • when you sign up through this link Smartsteem has more votes to sell (even though their profit is a little bit less due to the referral they pay) but they still generate more then they did before
