Rappers, vocalists, and producers a new epic theme is ready to go for this week's Steemit Music League Challenge.
The SML Challenge was created to provide an additional avenue for the musicians of Steemit who are chasing their dreams to be highlighted and earn some additional recognition, feedback, and rewards.
We also now have an awesome interactive Discord Channel for everyone to come together, interact, ask questions, and even have access to the Live Music Bunker where you can hear a playlist of all that week's entries and listen to live DJing by Steemians such as @seveaux.

Video Games

The enormous video game market provides an awesome opportunity for artists and producers to get their music heard at scale. The amount of different sounds and room for music provides an opportunity for music to help set the tone and mood of the game taking place.
Steemians can take this theme a lot of different ways. They can create music that would appear ideally in a specific or generic type of video game. Or maybe use video game inspired sounds to create a track.
This theme leaves many variations open for possibility. Looking forward to see what the community has in store for this Video Game theme.
Here is some inspiration for sounds and ideas for this Video Game themed week:
All you have to do is submit an original entry based off of the theme of the week using the tag #smlchallenge and/or comment the entry on any SML Challenge posts.
You will have until Tuesday night, November 21st to submit your entries with winners will be announced Wednesday, November 22nd.
The entries will be judged off of the following:
- Sound Quality,
- Technicality,
- Creativity, and
- Relevance to theme
The prize pool is as follows:
FIRST PLACE WINNER: 20 SBD + 10 Whaleshares + 30 SMOKE for 60 points
SECOND PLACE WINNER: 10 SBD + 10 Whaleshares + 25 SMOKE for 45 points
THIRD PLACE WINNER: 6 SBD + 10 Whaleshares + 20 SMOKE for 36 points
FOURTH PLACE WINNER: 4 SBD + 10 Whaleshares + 15 SMOKE for 29 points
COMMUNITY FAVORITE: 6 SBD + 10 Whaleshares + 10 SMOKE for 26 points
The Community Favorite each week will be determined by the amount of upvotes and comments responding to their entries, upvotes on their submission comment, and total community support on post.
Week Seven of the Steemit Music League Challenge starts today and will accept submission until November 21st with winners being announced Wednesday evening (November 22th).
The team of @chiefmappster, @danyelk, @derekmiller, and @nutela are pumped to see what is in store for this week.
Don't forget it helps the judges and the community for you to make a post about your entry, with how you created it, the meaning behind it, how the theme came into play.
It is just another way for us Steemians to get to know you and your message.
