Steemit Music League Challenge: Week Two

The #smlchallenge Week Two is live and o weeeee are we so pumped to be able to bring you the Steemit Music League (SML) and the SML Challenge.

With eight (8) epic entries in Week One, we can't wait to see what is in store for Week Two.

The SML Challenge was created to provide an additional avenue for the musicians of Steemit who are chasing their dreams to be highlighted and earn some additional recognition, feedback, and rewards.

The Steemit Music League Challenge is part of the Steemit Music League (SML) which incorporates the following contests, leagues, and challenges:

The Steemit Music League will have a leaderboard that is fed by the points earned by Steemians in each particular contest, challenge, or league.

Points earned can be redeemed at the end of each month for the cryptocurrency POINTS if they choose to. If they choose to redeem their points for POINTS then their leaderboard score is reset to zero and then can begin the climb back to the top.

So if you are confident in your skills, you will be able to redeem additional cryptocurrency monthly and then still have a chance to build your way back to the final challenge and the trip the Las Vegas.

The top three of this leaderboard at the end of the first seasons of the Steemit Music League (December 31, 2017) will be part of a live music challenge.

The winner will get a 7-day paid (lodging at the Palms Place and travel) to Las Vegas.

That's right the winner of the Steemit Music League will get a vacation courtesy of us to Las Vegas.

From now on, every week of the #smlchallenge will offer Whaleshares as an additional reward to the participants. The top four winners will each receive 10 Whaleshares with the community Favorite receiving 10 Whaleshares as well.

Here are the details for the Steemit Music League Challenge:

All genres of music can be apart of the Steemit Music League Challenge. Anything from heavy metal, rap, hip-hop, soul, gospel, country, electronic, basically anything you can think of music related and it's a go.

All you have to do is submit an original entry based off of the universal theme of the week using the tag #smlchallenge and/or comment the entry on any SML Challenge posts.

This second week's universal them is:

Having Fun.

So all you have to do is create a musical entry based off of the feeling of having fun. Whatever resonates most with you or whatever track makes you feel this way. We all know how it feels to be having the time of your life having so much fun with life and everything in it.

The options are endless so let's see your creativity Steemians.

The entries will be judged off of the following:

Sound Quality,
Technicality,
Creativity, and
Relevance to universal theme

The prize pool is as follows:

FIRST PLACE WINNER: 20 SBD + 10 Whaleshares for 30 points

SECOND PLACE WINNER: 10 SBD + 10 Whaleshares for 20 points

THIRD PLACE WINNER: 6 SBD + 10 Whaleshares for 16 points

FOURTH PLACE WINNER: 4 SBD + 10 Whaleshares for 14 points

COMMUNITY FAVORITE: 10 SBD and 10 Whaleshares for 20 points

The Community Favorite each week will be determined by the amount of comments responding to their entries and upvotes on their submission comment.

Week Two of the Steemit Music League Challenge starts today and will accept submission until next Monday night with winners being announced Tuesday evening.
