(Vegan Friendly) My Favorite Nutritious Fruit & Veggie Coconut Smoothie

This is the recipe of a yummy vegan-friendly smoothie I made this morning. I'm vegetarian, but I make vegan food sometimes.

What you'll need:

  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of strawberry banana yogurt
  • handful of spinach
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons chia seed
  • 3 cups coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup hemp vanilla protein powder (or whatever protein powder you use- vanilla flavored)
  • 1/2 cup of stevia
  • 1 icecube

After chopping, blend it all together, and you end up with a super nutritious and sweet smoothie full of all the nutrients below:

  • Vitamin A: Improves the immune system, helps maintain good vision and healthy eyes, keeps skin from being damaged, promotes strong bones and teeth, and repairs old tissues/aids with anti-aging

  • Thiamin (B1): Increases energy, helps with anti-aging, improves memory (lowers risk of Alzheimer's), improves appetite, heart health, and aids with digestion and healthy bowel movements

  • Niacin (B3): Improves cholesterol levels, lowers risk of heart problems, helps with diabetes, promotes skin health and acne reduction, decreases risk of Alzheimer's disease, aids with joint pain, aids with depression, anxiety, and insomnia, as well as possibly alcoholism, schizophrenia, and ADHD, and may help with erectile dysfunction

  • Vitamin B6: Helps maintain healthy brain function, helps fight diseases, aids with stress relief, forms red blood cells, and helps to digest proteins.

  • Vitamin B12: Converts carbs into glucose to create energy, regulates the nervous system and aids with depression and stress relief, maintains a healthy digestive system, essential for healthy skin, hair, and nails, and helps to protect against cancers

  • Vitamin C: It is an antioxidant and can aid with disease prevention, improves the immune system, reduces cell damage (increases healthy skin), and can be especially helpful if you're a smoker

  • Calcium: Promotes strong bones, prevents high blood pressure, and may protect against certain cancers

  • Fiber: Normalizes bowel movements, lowers cholesterol, and can help with weight loss

  • Potassium: Regulates blood pressure and heart problems, and can benefit those with anxiety or suffering lots of stress

  • Phosphorous: Keeps the metabolism running smoothly, promotes skeletal and organ health, boosts energy levels, and balances hormones naturally

  • Manganese: Aids with maintaining healthy bones, skin health and protection for UV rays, blood sugar regulation, and protection from free radical damage

  • Magnesium: Increases energy, calms nerves, aids in restful sleep and insomnia, helps with digestion and healthy bowel movements, relieves muscles aches and spasms, prevents migraine headaches, and helps with bone health

Let me know what you think once you try it! I loved it. The chia mixed with coconut milk makes it end up tasting like coconut flakes. It's amazing.
