Sndbox Summer Camp: Final Quest - Step Two - The Rules

Final Quest

After all these weeks of preparation, the time for the Final Quest of the Sndbox Summer Camp has finally come. Keep in mind that only the people that won one of the previous quests are eligible to join this one and have a chance to get a spot in the online camp. We could’ve let you know all the rules over discord, but we want to document the whole process on the blockchain and be as transparent as possible.

As you probably know, the last quest was about projects, so we picked a couple of ideas and split all the campers into teams. We let everybody pick the idea they would like to work on, and you can read about the whole process here. Below is the list of the winners and the project they are part of, special thanks to @jhnmunoz for helping with the initial draft.

Disqualified

@ericha – Philosophy Quest
@seenitallfilms - Filmmaking Quest
@jakeybrown – Writing Quest

Before we get deeper, I want to mention a couple of stuff. Unfortunately, we had to disqualify @jakeybrown because he hasn’t picked a project; thus he can’t join the final quest. We couldn’t reach out to @ericha and @seenitallfilms, even if we tried to, so because they are not part of our Discord channel where all the work is going to happen, they also can’t join the Final Quest. For unknown reasons, @nobyeni decided not to join this quest, and we wish her all the best.

We had a total of 46 winners eligible for this quest, and now we are down to 41 people that will compete to get a spot in the camp, good luck to you all.

So, enough with the introductions, here are the rules, guidelines for the Final Quest of the Sndbox Summer Camp.

Rules

  • Make a Plan

Now that you are all divided into groups you have to work on developing the project idea you picked with the other members of your team. Over the course of the next couple of days, your whole team will have to create a plan of action for the project, create alt accounts if needed, logos, a project pitch, anything you can think of. Think about it as creating a business plan; we want to see how the idea would come to life before actually releasing it in the camp.

To make this spicier, you are on a budget; you have 100 theoretical SBDs you can use to launch the project. We want to see what would you spend on each one of that theoretical steem dollar and how do you manage to work on a budget.

  • Team Work

Because @Sndbox is an incubator built on teamwork with a focus on developing projects, we want to see how you are going to act as part of a team that is developing a project idea where everybody decides their level of engagement and work.

We know that the teams are not balanced from a numeric standpoint but don’t let that discourage you because we are looking at the way the individuals are working instead of just the whole team progression. This means that you can’t just win if your other teammates are strong but only if you are a strong teammate.

Even if you want your team to launch the best project, we highly encourage helping other teams when in need because at the end of the day, we're all one big team with the same goal.

  • Documenting the process

At the end of the working period, each one of you will have to make a post in which you’re talking about everything you helped with, documenting the work you put behind this idea, so we have a point of reference when we’re picking the winners. Also, one member of each team will have to make an additional post documenting the evolution of the project, how well you managed your theoretical budget and everything else you came up with after the working period.

If you have questions feel free to ping on Discord @anomadsoul and me at any time and one of us will reply you as soon as possible.

Being part of a successful project does not guarantee that you will get a spot into the Sndbox Summer Camp nor being part of the camp will guarantee you a spot into @Sndbox.

The deadline is 10th June 11:59 PST.

Special thanks to @Sndbox, @voronoi, and @hansikhouse for giving us the opportunity to do this.
